Thank you Honey Pig for forcing all Korean restaurants to step it up. Honey Pig is a threat to all Korean BBQ restaurants. Hee Been in Alexandria is trying to deliver a knock out blow to Honey Pig by offering $9.99 all you can eat meat BBQ! Yes, it's not a typo. It's $9.99. The catch is that it's only valid from 10pm to 2am everyday. Don't believe me? Here's the banner outside Hee Been. To maximize value, I went there exactly at 10pm.
I started off with gal-bi.
They don't have the sushi nor other buffet items except kimchi, bean sprouts, radish, lettuce and condiments. It's good enough for me.
Here's some spicy pork and bacon. Honey Pig charges $12.99 for 1 serving of bacon. Here's I'm already eating at least 3 servings of meat at Hee Been which would cost me about $40 at Honey Pig.
More bacon...more savings.
Oh yeah.
They have gal-bi, bulgogi, bacon, spicy pork, spicy chicken, intestines, shrimp, and spicy squid. Not bad.
They do also offer bean paste soup.
For $9.99, this is a steal. I'll be back for sure. I'm not sure how long this will last. Honey Pig is here to stay . Many Korean restaurants are offering incentives due to recession as well. I hope this last for a long time.
